Education forms an important facet of Blue Zoo Beijing. The company fulfils this vital function through entertaining and enlightening education programmes, which have caused the Beijing Science and Technology Association to recommend Blue Zoo Beijing as a must-see for the city's school children.

An educational centre is staffed by teachers who host lectures and audio visual presentations in purpose built classrooms. With such resources in-house, the aquarium plays a major role in educating the Chinese public about the importance of protecting the marine environment.

In addition, specific display areas have been set aside in the complex, devoted to providing information on endangered sea species of special relevance to China, including the famed fresh water dolphins of the Yangtse River.
